Extra curricular activity

Sir John Cass redcoat School Sixth form supports a huge range of additional activities and experiences to enrich learning and broaden the mind, as well as opportunities for having fun and socialising.

Regular residential and day trips: subject based conferences; outward bound courses; end of term activity days; business and industry events. Residential trips are free to those who have used study time wisely.

An active and successful elected Student Committee representing students’ interests and campaigning for positive change in the sixth form, as well as organising social, fundraising and sports events.

Exciting personal development courses with the Royal Navy for teamwork communication and organisational skills development.

Sixth Form students have full use of lower school sports facilities, including our indoor swimming pool and fully equipped modern sports hall.

All students take part in our Community Service programme, and choose from a variety of rewarding activities such as local primary school reading support schemes and help in reception classes.
