Qualification To Start The Course

Five GCSEs grades A* - C, including English and Mathematics. Students must be taking AS Business or BTEC National in Business. Students will be interviewed by the Head of Business Studies in order to gain access to this course.

Description Of The Subject

Students have the opprtunity to work with employers in the business world. For example; Barclays Capital, Citi Group, BP. This also includes sitting the BTEC National Certificate in personal and business finance. This is a two year course which is equivalent to one A Level. It includes six units of work to obtain the full qualification.

Future Prospects

Higher Education in business or management.
Accountancy. Business Finance. Law. Retail.
There are many organisations seeking to employ people with business knowledge and skills.
