Qualification To Start The Course

Expected basic GCSE requirements for advanced level study – i.e. five grades A*–C at GCSE. You must have gained at least a grade C in GCSE physical education.

What You Will Do

One year course divided into 3 units of study:

• Unit 1 Theory work relating to the physiological and psychological factors that may influence performance in sport
• Unit 2 A written unit that studies the socio-cultural and historical effects on participation in physical activity
• Unit 3 Coursework with a practical base analysing the factors that may improve performance.
